Jose Torrao, proprietor and founder of Daimler Car Services, opened his first doors in Hay Street, Turffontein in 1983 and has been in business since then.

Having changed the business name to Torrao Car Services and moving to various premises, he has now been at his current premises for over 18 years.

Initially working and studying at Mercedes Benz from 1976 acquiring many awards and prizes such as apprentice of the year (76") and later qualifying and completing his trade test in 1978.

With the vast experience at Cargo Motors (Mercedes Benz) it has given him a love for the brand and a specialist in the repairs, Along with his son Bruno, this Portuguese family business does not only specialize in Mercedes Benz but have broadened their services and repairs to all other vehicle brands.
